Don't believe a word the government say on the matter. So right now I'm in my last week of training. I used to have a nice blog as a student on another site but The Observer published some of it without asking and I got scared that I was about to be exposed so dropped it. I really need to keep this anonymous due to the nature of my (hopefully one day) job. I wasn't very good last time and people worked out who I was. Hopefully I'll be better this time.

DH sat up in bed yelling "what is it", I knew straight away (somehow) that it was an earthquake. I live VERY close to the epicentre and the roaring noise was horrendous, and the banging from the doors, bookcases, etc was also very loud. I couldn't get back to sleep and spent most of the night on the internet. Good to see that the forum geeks were reporting back quicker than BBC News!

Then I had to go to work this morning - everyone was talking about the earthquake. I was looking after a womman in labour who had an epidural in. The radio was one talking about the earthquake and I was listening to that and half listening to my menot going on about how "in America they don't see it as a big deal". "No", I agreed, "its more normal over there". Then realised she was talking about epidurals not earthquakes!

So today I've been at work and helped a woman through her labour. I actually had to leave before baby was born even though I could see top of baby's head. I hate doing that but had to pick up my daughter from school.

So got home and rang Zanussi up to complain that my dishwasher caught fire yesterday. They're sending a man to investigate but didn't seem hopeful when I enquired about a free replacement.

I've also been ringing round temping agencies desperatly trying to find a job doing office work for next week. No luck so far.
